P.E. & Nutrition
St. James students learn that cultivating physical health is essential to a happy and productive life. We partner with CYO ( Catholic Youth Organization) to offer energizing, engaging and effective P.E. and Nutrition curriculum.
CYO Athletics physical education program provides essential skills and
knowledge that all students need to maintain a physically active and healthy
lifestyle. Our goal is to develop a standard based physical education program
which creates an individualized learning platform for physical, cognitive and
social achievement. Our integrative learning environment incorporates a variety
of fun activities, including a nutrition program, that inspire dedication to
successful lifelong learning and health.
In addition to physical activity, this program emphasizes healthy
living. Cooking for Life is offered once each month. A chef leads a nutrition lesson through a cooking class.
Students participate in the preparation, cooking, and finally eating what they
prepared.
